Academics from Kokand University in Uzbekistan, who taught at our University's Faculty of Tourism for two weeks as part of the Orhun Exchange Program, visited our Rector, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Aydın, in his office. Our University continues to host international academics in line with its internationalization goals and vision of strengthening academic cooperation with the Turkic world. Khamidjon Rasulov Yakubovich, Head of the International Tourism and Economics Department, and Omonjon Umarov, Tourism Lecturer, from Kokand University in Uzbekistan, who came to our University within the framework of the Orhun Exchange Program conducted under the umbrella of the Union of Turkic Universities (TÜRKÜNİB), were received by our Rector, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Aydın. Dr. Hakan Gültekin, Director of the Center for International Relations Application and Research, and Lecturer Ercan Soysal, Coordinator of the Orhun Exchange Program, were also present during this visit.

Two Weeks of Academic Sharing with Tourism Faculty Students

During their two-week stay at our University's Faculty of Tourism as part of the Orhun Exchange Program, the academics gave lectures to students. Sharing their knowledge and experience on tourism economics and international tourism practices with the students, the delegation made valuable contributions to the academic processes in the faculty.

Rector Aydın: "Our Academic Bridges with Sister Countries Are Strengthening"

Expressing his pleasure at hosting the delegation during the meeting held in the Rector's office, our Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Aydın made the following remarks:
"The Orhun Exchange Program is a very important platform that strengthens not only the exchange of knowledge but also our cultural and emotional ties between universities in the Turkic world. We were very happy to host the esteemed professors of Kokand University in our Faculty of Tourism and for our students to benefit from their vast experience. I hope that these academic bridges we have established with universities in our sister country Uzbekistan will continue to grow."
The visit concluded after the exchange of gifts and expressions of goodwill.
