1- Which classes can apply to the Orhun Exchange Program?
Only first and second-year students in the 4-year undergraduate program at Artvin Çoruh University can apply to the program.
2- Why can't preparatory and third-year undergraduate students apply?
Students in preparatory classes cannot apply to the program because they do not have a transcript and may need to repeat the preparatory year. Third-year students, on the other hand, cannot apply to the program because they will be attending the program the following year and will be in their final year, as per regulations.
3- Do I need a visa for the country I will be going to?
For countries requiring visas, e.g., Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, obtaining a visa is mandatory.
AZERBAIJAN: No visa required; direct entry into the country, after which a "Residence Permit" is obtained with the help of university officials who accept it for $10.
KYRGYZSTAN: No visa required; direct entry into the country, after which a "Residence Permit" is obtained with the help of university officials who accept it for $10.
NORTHERN CYPRUS: No visa required; direct entry into the country, after which a "Residence Permit" is obtained with the help of university officials who accept it for $10.
KAZAKHSTAN: No visa required; entry into the country is after obtaining a "Residence Permit" from the Ankara Embassy for $10.
UZBEKISTAN: Visa required; $120 is paid at the Ankara Embassy or the Istanbul Consulate General.
HUNGARY: Requires a Schengen Visa.
4- Do faculty members also need a visa?
Faculty members do not need a visa as they go for a period of 2 weeks. For stays not exceeding 90 days, a visa is not required.
5- Can lecturers and research assistants also benefit from the Orhun Exchange Program?
According to the guidelines, only academics on the faculty staff can benefit from the program. These are Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, and Professors.
6- How much is paid to those going abroad?
Since the program does not have any special budget, no cash payment is made to those going abroad. Our university covers the round-trip airfare of those who qualify.
7- Are accommodation and meal services at the destination the responsibility of the participants?
No, the universities that accept the participants cover the accommodation and 1, 2, or 3 meals a day free of charge. Which university covers what is noted in the application's Excel file.
8- If we are unable to go in the year we are accepted, will our rights be transferred to the following year?
No, students or faculty members who are accepted for mobility must go during the fall or spring semester of the current academic year. Otherwise, their rights cannot be transferred to the following year.
9- Is it mandatory to receive an acceptance letter after being accepted?
Yes, every accepted candidate must receive an acceptance letter. Those who need to go can get support from the office.

10- Do the courses need to match exactly in the exchange program for the students?
No, in exchange programs, it is not necessary for the courses and content to match exactly for the students. What matters is the ECTS credits. The number of ECTS credits to be earned in the exchange program is equal to the number of ECTS credits earned in the exchange program.
